Life Thus Far
54Life Thus Far
Well, here I am a brand new hubber, as I decided to make my contribution to "The World" I wondered what would I say? Should I sound like a nice quaint mother of three and give out advice on how to rear children? Perhaps tell "Baby Daddy Stories" Talk about my expertise in Advertising and take you on my journey to starting my own media agency. Perhaps dazzle you with my poetry as I walk toward writing a poetry book.
I've been told the best content is derived from your own experiences. So my spin on the hubpages will be to tell you some of my experiences in my life thus far. Some of it is quite crazy, it is my hope that for those who are out there who don't want to speak in such a public manner can have me to relate to on some level. I will try not to offer my opinions but tell you what I've learned and what I was thinking at the time. I'll give it to you straight with a little humor.
So welcome to Life Thus Far by Tuggie.
Now, I know I shouldn't be going back this far into the big ol' 5lb dust bunny that is my mind but this is how I remember it. I couldn't have been anymore than a year old and as mundane as this moment could have been it was my very first pivotal moment. My mother sat me in my high chair in the kitchen and as she sat me down in the chair, my first memorable clear thought that is still with me today was: "Back in the saddle again." You are probably twisting your mouth and waving your hand saying "she don't remember dat shhhhh." But it's true I really do, I had on a little yellow outfit and I was really cute that day. What made this moment pivotal to me was this. Did I really think it because she sat me in the high chair again to eat? Did I think it because I am remembering that I am reliving another life and I had to live another one? Did I think it because I heard it from my mom and the thought just applied? I am not insane but this is kind of MATRIX-ish and I think I took the red pill.
I often wonder in such a young mind and of little experience why I thought this, or anything from that age. Which brings me to the million dollar question: Do you or have you had any memories of your childhood before the age of 5? It is scientifically said that children do not have any cognitive or retainable memories until after the age of 5. If you have been watching those "Your baby Can Read" info-mercials then we can safely say that they have blown that theory out of the water. However I would like to know what you remember out there. Tell me no matter what it is no matter how happy or painful what you remember before the age of 5.
Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It is absolutely possible to have memories before the age of five;I certainly do. I am now a babyboomer and those memeories I can still recall. I have to wonder if the type event experienced is a factor? by type I mean good, or traumatic events? hmmmm.Soundslike that was a special day for you. Thanks

You've got a good sense of humor and I am looking forward to hearing more from you. My earliest memory I am willing to share is a birthday party for my 4th birthday. I remember getting a small wooded rocking chair just my size. I remember seeing the rather large package and being very curious about what it was. I loved it!
